Race details!

    •     We will be gathering at SIUe in the corner of Parking Lot A near the Science East building.  You can run, walk, or roll!  Dogs are welcome.

    •    If you’re not familiar with SIUe, please head to https://www.edwardsville6kforwater.com/directions for some specifics. The absolute easiest way to get you to the right spot is to download the Google Maps app, and then click on this link. Maps will bring you right to us! That link is also in the directions page above.

    •     Per SIUe policy, all participants are required to sign a liability waiver to participate. When you arrive, please stop by the registration table to do so.

    •    Bring your medal! Drop it off when you sign your waiver and we will gladly award it back to you upon completion to celebrate the work you’ve done!

    •     Wear your bib!  If you registered after 5/13 and do not receive your kit(s) by Saturday, don't stress! It's in the mail and you'll get it soon.  In the meantime, for the event, wear orange or whatever else is comfortable and we can provide you with a temporary bib at the registration table.

Here's our schedule for the morning:

8:00 am- Registration & Waiver Signing opens.  We can accept "walk-ins" for those not already signed up! Feel free to bring a friend.

8:45 am-Opening remarks

8:50 am- Team picture

9:00 am- 6K begins!

9:30 am - Post-race party starts

Every step you take is one they won’t have to.

Over 750 million people walk an average of 6 kilometers every day to find their nearest water source. The walk can be dangerous and oftentimes the water itself is disease-ridden, causing nearly 1,000 children under 5 to die every single day. When you register for the Global 6K for Water, your registration fee will provide clean, safe, life-giving water to one person for life! Your race bib will feature a photo of a child receiving water.
